Missed Work Due to Pelvic Surgery- Need Help to Catch Up with Rent
My Story:
I am a single female who lives alone. I work full-time in retail, and also attend school online to pursue a degree in Business Administration. My mother passed away from cancer in 2006, so I have been on my own for several years. In my spare time, I write a lot of poetry. I have been with my current employer for 3 years.
I am fortunate to earn enough income through my job to meet all of my primary expenses. I have had a lot of medical issues, however, and I have depleted my savings on medical expenses. I have had a lot of pelvic issues, which cause several painful and unpleasant symptoms. When my condition worsened recently, I had to take time off from my job to undergo surgery. I used up my paid sick leave from work, and with the lab fees and hospital co-pays, I have been unable to keep up with my bills this month.
I am asking for Modest Needs to help me catch up with my rent. The recent loss of pay from my job, as well as the numerous added medical expenses, have put me in a financial bind. I am worried I will be evicted from my home and have nowhere to go if I do not find help to catch up quickly.
Your assistance will bring me back on track with my finances and restore stability in my life. I have been offered a different and higher paying position at my current place of employment, and will begin receiving more income next month. Having a better position will allow me to rebuild my savings and be better prepared for any unexpected issues that may come up in the future. Your help would truly have a huge impact on my life by allowing me to continue moving forward and improving my situation.
