Retired Senior Citizen Needs Rental Help after Unexpected Vehicle Repair Expense
My Story:
I am a 68-year-old single lady who enjoys photography and watching football, especially the Miami Dolphins! I love animals and enjoy volunteer work. I have worked all my life, but retired two years ago due to health issues. The only income I have is my fixed retirement income. This enables me to cover basics, but I have no savings, and therefore have no way of affording any expenses outside of my regular living costs.
I recently had to pay for expensive emergency car repairs. The repair costs were more than what I pay for rent, but I had to fix my car in order to continue taking care of myself.
I am asking Modest Needs to help me catch up with my rent, which is now one month late. I have no way of earning extra money to make up the missed rent payment while maintaining my other monthly financial obligations, and I worry I could lose my home if I do not find help to bring my rent current.
I would be so very grateful to you for helping me at this time. I sincerely feel blessed for everything I have in my life, especially people like you who care enough about others to help in times of need. I would be so relieved, both financially and emotionally. Financially, your assistance will get me caught up with rent. Emotionally, you would be relieving me of the fear and stress this situation has caused me, and allowing me to have a restored sense of wellbeing. I only hope that someday, somehow, I will be able to help others in the same way.
