Family Needs Mortgage Help after Paying for Costly Vehicle Repairs
My Story:
I am a married father of two daughters. I work as a freelance writer. Both of my daughters are A+ students, who are both creative and funny. My wife works in the beauty industry, and does beautiful work with hairstyling. We all love our dog, Archie. He is quite protective and fierce, but loves to be pampered.
We were hit with a large, unexpected expense earlier this month when we had to pay for major vehicle repairs which included suspension work, a new exhaust system, and catalytic converter. The total repair costs exceeded our mortgage and utility bills combined. With our daughters at two different schools, with no bus service, and my wife unable to get to work without the car, we had no choice other than to take care of the repairs.
We are seeking assistance with our mortgage. We used the mortgage money to fix the car, and we do not have any way of making the payment this month. I am seeking additional work to try fill this gap, but in the meantime, we are struggling to get back on track after paying for such a large car repair bill.
Your assistance with our mortgage would solidify our budget and do what we can to start saving again for future emergency needs. We hope to be in a position where we can help others in similar situations through this site. Thank you for considering our request, and for any help you are able to provide.
