Single Dad of 3 Needs Help to Keep his Car After Missing Work for his Son's Heart Surgery
My Story:
I am a single father of 3 boys, twins who are 9 and a wonderful baby boy who will turn 10 months in a few days. My twin boys are very helpful, and are excited to have a new brother. I work fulltime and I love my job. It is a struggle paying all the bills but I do find it extremely rewarding being a father, so I bare with the stress of being a single parent. I earn enough to cover our basic expenses every month, but do live check to check. In the beginning of this year my youngest son had to have open heart surgery and thankfully has recovered fairly well. However, I had to take some unpaid time off of work to be there for my son, and this, coupled with the medical bills, have really strained my finances. On top of that my car recently broke down and I had to replace the radiator. I am now struggling to try and make my car payment.
I am seeking help from Modest Needs to afford my car payment. Without my car I cannot get to work, and without my job I have no way to provide for my children. I am trying my best to do whatever I can to take care of my children and I just need a little help right now.
Personally I would be forever grateful for whatever funding I am awarded. I know there are others who are worse off than I am however, I am in a bind and any assistance would help me to be the best father I can be. It would allow me to keep my job and support my boys. I teach them to be appreciative of what they have as it can be taken away in the blink of an eye. And I myself practice these same values in my everyday life. Thank you for hearing my story and considering helping.
