Working Single Mom Facing Vehicle Repossession after Experiencing Period of Unemployment
My Story:
I am a single mom with an 8-year-old son. My son and I both love animals, and have one adopted cat. We like to spend time outdoors, reading, and learning about history. My son is very good with electronics, and hopes to become a Police Officer when he grows up. I work in property management, along with online sales and marketing, and have been working in this industry for some time.
I recently went through an involuntary lay off, and struggled to meet all of my bills with the significantly lower income I had from unemployment benefits. It has not been easy, but I have managed to find work again in my field. The pay and benefits are not as good as they were previously, but I should be able to afford all of our basic expenses once I am caught up with the bills I fell behind on while I was out of work.
I am asking for Modest Needs' help to catch up with my overdue car payment. I am behind to the point where I am at risk of vehicle repossession, and if I lose my vehicle I will not be able to work. If I cannot work, I will not be able to pay our bills, and I fear my son and I would become homeless if that were to happen. My car is essential to me, and to my ability to provide for my son.
Your help will not just help me catch up with my car payment; it will lift a a great burden of financial strain and allow me to focus on maintaining a positive and stable environment for my son. This blessing would be the greatest act of generosity we could ever receive from others, let alone strangers. I believe in paying it forward, and will seek a way to pay it forward as a continuation of the goodness and kindness we were shown in our time of need.
