Student Needs Help with Rent

My Story:

I am a full time student with 20 weeks of school left. I am going to college for technology and my wife works full time for our local Head Start program, a government funded preschool.

We are behind in June's rent and could really use some help. If we could pay the other half of June and be able to pay July's rent on time we could manage to pay all of our other bills and get back on budget.

We have already cut back any unnecessary expenses and are looking to cut back more. Right know our budget allows us about 250-300 a month with no extras and no emergencies.

In May my wife had to have two benign tumors removed from her leg. Luckily she has insurance and sick leave at work but we still have to pay the deductibles. We are setting up payment plans so they don't get delinquent.

This month we had to have the tensioner arm, a pulley, and serpentine belt replaced on our van. The belt would slip off every time it rained.

We have two children that will need school supplies next month. If we could get caught up and do not have to worry about July's rent we could use some of that money for school supplies and clothes etc.

Our oldest also has a birthday in July and we would like to be able to budget about $50.00 on her birthday. We usually do cookouts with friends and gifts are usually school clothes (extra) we could not otherwise afford.

We are trying to figure a way to get back on track and pay the bills on time. I know I will be able to provide for my family once I have my degree.

Thank you for taking the time to look at our story. Have a blessed day.
