I'm a Single Mom & Can't Get to Work Because My Car is Undrivable! I Could Lose My Job Soon!
My Story:
I am a single mom to an amazing three-year-old boy. He is into dinosaurs, cars, playing outside, and going bowling. He has two older sisters who are his father's biological children, and we are very close with them. We also have a kitty named Sage who we got back in January. I work full-time as a personal injury paralegal and live paycheck to paycheck, as his father is incarcerated, so I get no help from him.
About two months ago, my car started driving funny, and its progressively gotten to the point where the wheels are falling off. For the past three weeks, I have not been comfortable putting my son in it, and I haven't been able to take him to daycare because of this. This has caused me to lose hours at work, putting us in even more of a financial bind. I took the car into the shop, and although all the repairs it needs done amounted to several thousand, my car will drive again by simply replacing the tie rods and headlights. This is my only vehicle, way to get to work, and way to transport my son. I am on the verge of losing my job, and everything feels like it is falling apart. I was trying to move back in with my dad to work on my credit when this all happened, and I haven't been able to do so because I can't move if I don't have a working car. I cry constantly and have anxiety daily trying to come up with a solution to pay my repairs, rent, and just survive. My therapist is even putting me on depression medication because of this.
I am asking for help with these repairs, so I can drive safely with my son in the car. I will be able to go through with the move and keep my job, so I can build back up again. In general, your assistance will propel me forward in my journey as a mom, so I can focus on my mental health and move on from the situation with my son's father going to prison. I have not been seen in the best light at work because of my absences, so I hope to make it up to them after my car is fixed. I will never forget this assistance.
