What's RSS? And Why Should I Use It?

Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is a way in which you can keep track of what's new at your favorite websites without having to continually visit those sites individually. Instead, an RSS feeds allows you to receive content updates in the same place – your own personal News Reader. You can also use an RSS feed to automatically pull in content from other websites to display on your own website.

How Do I Use RSS?

The process is simple:

1. Select and install a program called a News Reader, like Google Reader.
2. Choose the Modest Needs feed that you'd like to see in your news reader.
3. Click on the name of the feed (above) you'd like to subscribe to.
4. Paste the feed's URL into your news reader.
