This person has left the following thank you note:
I would like to take this opportunity to THANK all the generous people who donated to my cause. It is nice to know people do still care about others. I am so grateful that my prayers have been answered. The donation has helped to lift a heavy financial burden I have faced with all of the medical bills. I will be forever grateful to Modest Needs and their donors.Hopefully in the future I will be able to give back to those who have given to me.God Bless you all for this wonderful organization and the many people you are helping.
Hospital Bill: I feel like Sisyphus
My Story:
I am diabetic and my right leg got infected. The infection turned into septic, which is a blood infection. The infection moved quickly threw my body.
I was admitted to intensive care for three days and in a general room for another three days. I was then transported to a rehab center because of the sores on my legs.
I was there from October 2 and was released November 17, 2008. I was readmitted to Montgomery Hospital on November 19, 2008 and was released Nov.21, 2008.
I continue to receive home care for both physical therapy and nursing care. I am applying for medical help. The hospital bills, the nursing home bills and copayments are quite high and more then we can afford to pay.
I will not be able to continue receiving care until I settle the balance left over from my stay in the ICU. Thank you for taking the time to read my application. I genuinely appreciate it.
