Dec., 21, 2007 Dear Contribution Donors: Words cannot express the joy I have today along with the tears in my eyes when I learned of your generous donotations for the boardmaker software request for my autistic daughter. I am so happy she will now have the tools to help her communicate language. The software provides her with visual images in place of words. Since her visual I.Q. is normal, but her verbal language is nil, this will make a big differene in her life. I thank all of you for your generaous support and look foward to the new year ahead and you can all know that you have helped a child communicate in ways that enable her to do so - the visual language software for autistic children. Software For Autistic Child
My Story:
I am a single parent of three small children of which two are disabled. One of my daughters is severely autistic and requires communication via visual images to understand some basic commands to funtion during her day.
I need to purchase the Boardmaker software to assist her with basic communication needs. She received a computer from a grant recently and we need software for her to use. My expense do not permit me to set aside extra funds to support this need. I work as a teacher and I am the only source of income for this family. Can you please help?
