This person has left the following thank you note:

We are so blessed to receive help through modest needs. our year has been rough, our 2nd daughter was stillborn fullterm almost 6months ago at 41w gestation. It has been, suffice to say, a rough year for our family. I am in school FT and took time off work after our daughter died, to focus 100% on school and take care of my wife and 2yr old daughter. this depleted our savings, and when a car emergency came up, we were unable to fix our car (brakes, muffler etc) so that I would be able to return to work. Because of modest needs, i can now get to and from my full time job, and have our car repaired to provide me with reliable transportation. This has blessed us and means more to us than I can ever say. Thank you with all of our hearts. From The Moore Family

Car Repair To Begin New Job

My Story:

Our second daughter was stillborn 5 months ago at 41w gestation. My wife and I were devestated. My job wouldn't give me the time off to heal emotionally, or more importantly to help my wife (who delivered our stillborn 12lb 8oz 25 inch daughter vaginally, and broke her tailbone and was a physical mess, in addition to the emotional toll) Additionally she went into heart failure after our first daughter was born in 2004, and she relapsed after our 2nd daughter was stillborn. Suffice to say, we had a lot to heal from/get through. I had no job, we had some savings, and I was also in school full-time, and my semester started only one week before our daughter died. We utilized our savings while I struggled to catch up on my classwork (teachers were very understanding, and it was my last semester to graduate/earn my degree, so I felt I needed to make this the priority over finding a job) We depleted our savings by paying rent and just getting the basics, and had to apply for food stamps just to see us through (we also have a 2yr old daughter) and just when things were looking up, a month and a half ago our vehicle died. We are still paying $75 a week on it, and we only have one vehicle, and it has been impossible for me to pursue full-time employment when i have no vehicle. last week, i received a job offer to work fulltime, 40 hours a week, making $10 an hour, working for an apartment complex doing lifeguarding and maintence. however our vehicle remains off the road, unable to pass inspection until i have the muffler, brakes and windshield done, which at this time i can't afford until i start work. but i can't work until i have a reliable car to get me to work. This has been an extremely difficult year, and circumstances i never imagined i would find myself facing, i have, and that has led me here. i want to begin this job, to get us back on our feet, and not continue to spiral down into government assistance and other things, when i have a relatively well-paying job at my fingertips. Thank you for taking the time to consider our needs, and I can supply a program of our daughter's memorial service, or whatever else you might find satisfactory to show our circumstances that have led us to have this need. Thank you.
