Need Rent Help

My Story:

I am a single parent of two children and have been unemployed for over a year. I have been looking for a job and have been unable to find one. My youngest child just graduated high school and is a freshman in college. She no longer receives child support. I have been making it by qualifying for food stamps to help supplement what money I do have.

I had a problem with my car and had to use the money that I would've had towards rent to cover the price of the repairs. My daughter has just recently gotten a job and has not received her first check yet and I have had two interviews and one call-back. So, I really feel that I too will be employed within the next thirty days.

Thank you for your help. I am looking for a hand up not a hand out. Also, my landlord has been working with me through this temporary situation that I have been in, but he is not the best about waiting too long to receive his rent money. I think it's just hard for a lot of people now, and I certainly do not want to cause another problem by not being able to pay him his rent money. Thank you again for your help and your kindness.
