This person has left the following thank you note:

Thank you so much and may God Bless all who helped to fund my need. My companion dog is doing much better now. I only wish I could have gotten help with the vet expenses which were greater than my monthly rent, but I am grateful for the help I did receive.

Electric Bill Help

My Story:

I am a disabled 55 year old woman who has a companion canine named Buddy for the last 10 years. He became very ill and looked like he was dying. He seemed to get progressively worse and after a week, he began yelping in pain and not getting up. I rushed him to the vet. They gave him a check up and sent me home with antibiotics because they thought maybe he had a bacteria infection due to tooth decay. The vet said he needed to come back and have blood work and a senior wellness dental appointment to get his dental health in better shape.

I live alone and this dog is my companion and I love him like a child. I could not bear to lose him. He has been trained to help me. The blood work showed crystals in the urine which could mean kidney stones. So the dental work was done, which they have to put them under anesthesia to perform, and he finished the antibiotics and stayed on pain meds. He seems to be doing better. Praise God. Because of this unexpected bill, I will not have the money to pay my electric bill.

I live on a limited income each month from SSI which is nearly impossible to cover regular bills. I pray you are animal lovers and understand the need for companion and service canines to assist disabled persons. I rescued Buddy in 2000 from a shelter and cannot imagine my life without him. Thank you in advance for your consideration and compassion.
