Out in the Cold: Utility Help
My Story:
I'm a Diabetic and in July of this year my sugar went up to 408. I have a part time job, but they had already cut our hours due to one of the resident's houses closing. Then I got sick so I was not able to work at all. Once I got behind on my rent, my car also started to act up.
I have since then been able to get caught up on my rent and have the car repaired. I have not yet gotten money to have my gas turned back on. It has been off for two years. Each time I think I save enough money to have it turned on something else happens.
I know that you can not assist everyone, but please consider helping me get my gas back on. I have since gone back to my part time job, but they are still only able to give me some hours. Every once in a while I will get lucky to have some extra hours but all businesses are suffering.
Please help me not to be cold this winter. It's hard for a person to get help who is working, but I live alone and everything I do depends on me. Thanks for your help and may God continue to bless you and this organization. I have been using space heaters which is dangerous. I have to leave them on while I'm sleeping because I am a diabetic and don't want to get sick. Please, please I need your help.
