User-submitted image - Click to see real sizeWords are difficult to express the gratitude that I have for each and every one of you. I feel that a huge hug with very much warmth will express my gratitude better. You have made it possible for me to keep my mother's house and I truly thank you and appreciate each of you much more than I can write. May God bless each of you and bring you the same joy that you have brought me. Happy Holidays and have a wonderful New Year!

Emergency Mortgage Help

My Story:

My mother died July 19, 2007 after she had cervical spinal surgery. She died unexpectedly and suddenly. The doctors are unaware of what may have caused this to happen because she was just discharged to go home. After her death my two sisters and I realized that my mother did not have death coverage on her home and very little life insurance.

We tried to keep her house but when I became unemployed in July 2008 that only made it a little bit more difficult to catch up on payments. We got really behind and used some of the insurance money to catch it up. After we paid on time for over a year my sister chose not to pay her portion of the mortgage in May 2009 and we were behind again. I was blessed enough to still have unemployment benefits which helped me significantly.

My sister moved out April 3, 2010 without informing me. I received an email on that day letting me know she was moving out. When she left she was behind on her portions of the bills about 3 months and she had not paid the mortgage since November 1, 2009. She promised that she would fulfill all of her obligations and she did with the utility bills but not with the mortgage. She was suppose to put $2000 in our mom's estate account.

She never did so now I have stopped the foreclosure and the bank allowed me a 6 month forbearance period which will end October 28, 2010. I am asking for help because I really do not have anywhere else to go and I would really like to keep my mom's house. Any help that you may provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
