Need Rent Help

My Story:

I retired from my full-time job in May (2010) with the expectation for additional income from teaching as an adjunct English instructor for several universities. My final paycheck from my former employer included vacation. That paycheck and pay from the university I was already teaching for carried me through most of June.

In the meantime, I was scheduled to begin teaching at new university on July 2. I didn't realize at the time that my paychecks for this new employer would not begin to arrive until July 30 and that it would be broken up into fourths payable every two weeks.

This situation put me terribly behind in my rent and I currently have a late notice for August. So far, I have only received one paycheck from teaching from my new class in the amount of $451.00.

In September, I will begin training to work as an adjunct for a third university, which should solidify my income. As an English instructor, I'm finding that many universities need my help and the promise for future and continuing work as an adjunct instructor is excellent. I just need to get there from where I am right now.

Assistance with my August rent would put me back on track with my rent and allow me to pay my other bills, such as utilities, Internet service (required to teach online), and telephone. Thank you very much.
