I'm a 49 year old disabled woman that relies solely on Social Security Disability. I'm also a Veteran and use the VA for all my health care needs. I am not a disabled veteran. Up until January of this year, there was no cost for my medications.

I now have to pay a co-pay for each prescription I receive. I take long and short acting Morphine and other various medications. I have chronic pain from a failed back surgery, severe neck pain from a car accident and Mylofacial Pain Syndrome, etc.

I just don't have a way to pay what is due for my prescriptions. Due to the economy I'm also having to help out my 20 year old son -- and this isn't easy to do on a fixed income. (I'm living with a relative, so I have fewer expenses.) I have been applying and searching for help with paying my future monthly co-pays and I just received a letter stating that I qualify for 'Extra Help' through Medicare and I'm presently checking into this for the future.

Unfortunately, I'll still have to pay my current bill, which is more than I can afford right now. If you could possibly assist me with paying this bill, I would be eternally grateful!! I am really worried and stressed about getting this bill paid, which is presently 4 months. behind. I can't thank you enough for your time & possible consideration.

Testimonial

This person has left the following thank you note:

Words just cannot express how deeply humbled I am to have received this help!!! TO ALL OF THE DONORS, as well as this WONDERFUL ORGANIZATION -- THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART!! It's such a good feeling, knowing that there are so many good people out there that truly care about the welfare of others. It's been such a struggle since I became disabled 10yrs. ago -- & it's easy to feel pretty sorry for yourself sometimes. You don't want to ask for help, but, if you don't, the stress it puts on you -- ends up making health conditions even worse (which, I can thoroughly attest to)!! So, again, THANK YOU SOOO MUCH for helping me with my medical co-pay!! You have no idea how much I appreciate your willingness to help & how it will get me through this period in time!!! Please know that you are impacting so many people's lives -- and I know what a good feeling that is too!!!!!
