Family In Texas Needs A/C Repairs

My Story:

I am a divorced mother of three children - 12, 6, and 5 years old. My mother who is 56 lives with us and takes care of my children while I work. My ex-husband lives 7 hours away and has been unemployed for almost a year now, so he hasn't been able to help much for the past year.

15 days ago we came home from church to find that our air conditioner was no longer blowing out cool air. After having an air conditioner repairman come out to assess the situation, we found that the capacitor was no good and neither was the compressor. So, he gave us the news that the entire unit would need to be replaced.

The bad news was that all of the quotes he gave us were out of our price range to afford anyway. So, my mother and my babies have been here at home for 15 days in this extreme heat. Some nights it's hard to sleep especially when there is no breeze coming through the windows. And I keep praying that each new day won't be hotter than the one before.

I feel bad when I go to work and have to leave everyone here at home because there is air conditioning at work, but none at home. We would all greatly appreciate any help you can give. We have been praying and praying for a miracle.
