My bill is behind because I had to quit one of my jobs - I did not have child care for my baby so that I could work a 2nd shift. I have started another job and should have no trouble maintaining my bills if I can get help with my utility bill. I work 2 jobs to make ends meet, but after only working one job for over a month, my bills got behind.

I do not want to lose what I have worked so hard for. I was unemployed for over a year while recovering from cancer. I have worked very hard to re-establish my life. I am currently in college and working 2 jobs. I need a one time financial grant to get back on track.

I am so estatic right now!!! I just came in from work and checked my messages. I have felt so overwhelmed this week because of school and bills. I requested help from Modest Needs in September. When I looked on my account earlier today, I realized I only had 1 or 2 days left before beign disqualified. I want to say thank you to all the people who donated $5 or $10 because you made it possible for my electricity to stay on. I am a full-time college student-graduating in 2 wks, and I have struggled trying to work 2 jobs. I fell behind after being out of work sick. I am recovering from cancer, and sometimes have setbacks that cause me to miss work for days at a time. If it wasn't for the kind people who made donations, I would not be able to get back on track.
