I want to thank each and everyone of you that read my story and then donated the help i needed with all my heart! I am so happy that there are still people out there some where that will help a stranger when they see them in need. My children and i will benefit so much from all your help and although they dont understand all this, they do feel the happiness you have brought to us with your help. Thank you so much our lives just got easier thanks to all of you!

Car Repairs: Determined Single Mom

My Story:

First let me say ' Thank You ' I have graduated a homeless program recently and was rewarded a Section 8 Voucher. I have found a real house/home my three children and I are planning to move into on August 1st 2010. I have no friends and family to help me move!

I can do most of the packing myself but as far as the move is concerned there is at the time, nobody to help me at all. I can not lift heavy items including boxes and may have to abandon my belongings and then be charged a lot of money for the extra clean up here in the apartment I am still currently in. If that happens Section 8 can be taken from me for a Violation and then I would end up homeless.

I have called around to U-Haul and found one lady to rent the truck and drive it for me because I cant drive legally at this time but neither one of us can do heavy lifting. My car needs an alternator and belt and if I don't get it fixed and off this property by July 31st 2010 Management will have it towed and I will lose it all together. I need help to get my vehicle repaired badly! My eleven-year-old son was hit by a car and we did a four day hospital stay. He now has two screws and two bolts in his knee and therefore a vehicle is well needed and he and I also have Asthma and do a few midnight runs to the Emergency Room with no warning as to when it can happen to either one of us.

If I cant get the money I need to pay for this move and the first months rent I could lose my section 8 voucher and end up homeless again and would have to start all over! I do not have anyone to help me that would do it out of the kindness of their heart for free and the move alone is going to take all my money!

The home owner renting to me is aware of my problems and is willing to give some time to get this deposit, not much time, but she is being as helpful as she can afford to be. She even put a stackable washer and dryer in the home because she knows it would be almost impossible for me to get to or pay for a Laundry mat service place.

To get moved and pay the first months rent and to rent a U-Haul and to fix my car ( so I don't loose it all together) will be all the barriers that could cause me to lose it all...Home, Section 8, and my car.

I really need help right now! I really need someone to care for me and my children right now! I normally can make it on my own without asking for much help at all, but this is too much for me to handle alone, I cant do this one! Please choose me to help when nobody else will. Thank you so
