Walking on Uncertain Ground | Cost to fully fund this application: 1,300.00 Modest Needs Points

The floor joists in our living room floor have been gradually getting worse over the past few years and it is now very unleveled. My wife and I are both diabetic and I have a lot of problems with my legs and often lose my balance. I am afraid that one of us, or her elder aunt who now lives with us, will fall due to the floor in the condition it's in.

I had tried to fix some of the floor joists in the living room several years ago, but I was diagnosed with emphysema and asthma and could not finish the job. We live on a fixed income and pay almost $200 per month in co-payments for our prescription medicine, so we haven't been able to afford to hire a contractor to correct the problem. It would be a tremendous blessing if we could get a grant to help with this repair.

Testimonial

This person has left the following thank you note:

I would like to say thank you to those who so graciously donated to the funding of the floor repairs in our home. It's a true blessing to know that there are still so many selfless people in the world these days who are willing to help complete strangers in a time of need. Once again, thank you and may God bless each of you greatly.
