Two years ago my daughter (11 years old) and I left NY to move to FL to attend to my parents. The two years in central Florida were brutal and finding a job was challenging. I took as many temporary assignments that was offered and found it almost impossible to survive.

The move took a huge toll on me financially and emotionally. Before leaving NY, I was able to pay my bills on time and more than the minimum. After four months in FL, I had depleted my savings. After talking with my parents, we decided that moving back to NY would be in the best interest of my daughter and I.

I moved back to New York and am residing with a friend of my family's. Being back in New York and working (still temporary) has afforded me the ability to contact my creditors and make arrangements, alleviating some tension. Always one to make lemonade from life's lemons, I am looking for an apartment and will soon have the deposit, rent and broker's fee saved.

I do not have any furniture (well I have nothing to move into the apartment with, except our clothes) and thought that the most important pieces of furniture would be a bed and mattress. A mattress will suffice for now until I am able to afford the rest. I thank you in advance for your consideration.
