On this page, you'll find the information you need to support Modest Needs with a gift or pledge by mail. You'll also learn how you can support Modest Needs creatively - by shopping at our store, hosting a charity auction on eBay, or by donating your professional skills to an individual or family in need of your assistance.

To make a monthly pledge by mail, please fill out the form at left and then click 'Regular Mail Pledge' Then, send your first gift in the form of a check or money order to:
Modest Needs Foundation Please write 'Monthly Pledge' in the memo section of your check. Once a month, we'll send an e-mail to remind you that it's time to send your pledge. As always, there are no long-term commitments. You may modify, suspend, or cancel a pledge by mail at any time simply by contacting us. |

If you're making your one-time gift in memory/honor of someone else, please be sure to specify that person's name, address, and - if applicable - the occcasion of your gift. Honorees will receive a personal letter from Dr. Keith Taylor, President and Executive Director of Modest Needs, announcing your gift in their honor. Their names also will appear for 30 days on our donors page.

'Myspace' with a social conscience) to raise awareness of and funds for the work we do together at Modest Needs. You can now support Modest Needs every month - without spending a dime - just by creating a simple webpage about anything you like. Most of Modest Needs' requests for help can be resolved only through small grants. If you don't have even a dollar to spare, there are several creative ways you can help us raise the funding necessary to help another family avoid the public welfare system:
| Sell on eBay | Why not turn that stuff you no longer need into a gift that will keep a family working? If you have an eBay account and know how to use it, you can sell that rug, quilt, or old DVD to benefit working families at Modest Needs. To sell on Modest Needs' behalf, just use your eBay account to initiate the auction. Link to Modest Needs in your listing. Tell the world what you're doing - and why. Once the auction has completed successfully, ask your buyer to remit payment to donor.support@modestneeds.org via PayPal. Include the auction number in the payment information. We'll write to let you know when payment has been received and it's safe to ship your item to the buyer. Don't forget: if you sell an item on eBay with 100% of the proceeds from your sale going to Modest Needs, 100% of the fees you incur in listing your item are tax deductible. |
