My Sons Were Born Prematurely & My Oldest Has Autism. Medical Bills Are Crippling My Family!

My Story:

I am a married mother of two sweet boys. I have an almost 4-year-old and a 19-month-old. Both are typical wild and energetic boys. I work full-time as an IT Asset Management Coordinator for a children's hospital, and my husband is an Assistant Custodian at a public school. My husband and I earn enough to cover our basic expenses each month, but we cannot afford to build savings because of us constantly paying medical bills.

Our almost 4-year-old son was diagnosed with Autism and expressive speech delay, so he attends three different kinds of therapy to help his development. Our baby also needed surgery when he was 6 months, and we are still paying off that bill. I had preeclampsia during both my pregnancies which caused me to need extra care, and both of my boys were born prematurely because of it. Our youngest even spent a week in the NICU for his low birth weight. All these incidences have caused us to be buried in medical bills by multiple providers. The bill that makes it impossible for us to make a dent in our medical debt is our son's ABA therapy bill. He receives ABA Therapy 3 times a week during the school year and 5 times a week during summer. We have noticed immeasurable growth in him since starting this back in June 2023, however, it is the most expensive out of the three therapies. It also doesn't have the most help in terms of a payment plan.

We are asking for assistance with our son's ABA therapy bill, so we can have enough breathing room to catch up with our other responsibilities. With this help, we could finally get through this 4-year-long transition and start to really be able to support our family.
